Haute Route Rockies: Euro stage racing comes to Colorado!
The legendary Haute Route comes to North America, and Magic Places is incredibly excited to deliver what promises to be an unforgettable race experience to you!
Following the same successful 7-day stage race format that has proven so popular in Europe, the Haute Route Rockies will offer riders the opportunity to race the classic mountain passes of Colorado. Beginning in Boulder and finishing 7 days later in Colorado Springs, this jaw-dropping course will involve over 16,000 metres of climbing over its 875km, and with 15% of the riding on gravel roads and passes over 3000 m altitude, this race will test your legs, lungs and heart.
With the recent announcement of the stage towns, connecting the dots between these towns shows that some big, beautiful country awaits riders who take up the challenge. We can’t wait to raise a ruckus in these Rocky Mountain gems:
Stage 1: Boulder – Boulder
Stage 2: Boulder – Winter Park
Stage 3: Winter Park – Avon
Stage 4: Avon – Avon (Individual Time Trial)
Stage 5: Avon – Snowmass Village
Stage 6: Snowmass Village – Crested Butte
Stage 7: TBC – Colorado Springs
Given the selection of top-notch accommodations in these iconic stage towns, we’ve partnered with some of the finest hotels and lodges for this inaugural ride, giving our ‘founding riders’ the absolute best race experience. Many of accommodations offer full spa services to assist in your recovery and all are ideally suited to deliver an unforgettable off-bike experience with great dining and activities nearby.
Our concept of the 9-day HRR service package is to combine the full race support experience with top-notch accommodations, and of course, our highly professional and very personal care.
