THE Annual Mountainbike Challenge
The aura of the ‘Craft Bike Transalp’ radiates worldwide – an international adventure, stunning scenery, an unforgettable experience! In the past 13 years, this event became known as the most prestigious mountain bike race in the world, the ‘mother of all stage races’. The 14th edition of the ‘Craft Bike Transalp’ from July 16 to July 23, 2011 leads in eight stages over 670 kilometers and 21,504 vertical meters from Mittenwald in Southern Germany to Riva del Garda in Italy. Besides the well-established and popular stage destinations of Mittenwald, Mayrhofen and Brixen,
a completely new route leads to the beautiful village of San Vigilio, continues through the spectacular Dolomites from Cortina d’Ampezzo to Alleghe and on to San Martino. The last two stages to Trento and to Riva del Garda promise a grand finale for the 1100 participants. The event is for teams of two (riders) in five categories: Men, Women, Masters (any age of both riders combined totals 80 years), Grand Masters (combined age totals 100 years) and Mixed. In the past seven years, we have been participating in the TOUR Transalp Road Race
as multiple finishers, and with that experience as a support and service team for Canadian riders. Due to the request of many mountain bikers, we are now adding the Bike Transalp to our annual program. You can expect the same high standards that we are known for. Our services will ensure that you as a competitor can focus entirely on the race and the important recovery between the stages. We will take good care of you and all the logistics that surround this epic event.
